Everything but… is a 12-hour unbroken shot of the everyday actions around the home’s kitchen sink, washing dishes that have collected all day, washing hands, preparing meals, throwing out rejected food as well as the shadows dancing on the countertop from the rising sun when nothing else is happening. The time of day on screen is always synchronized to the viewing time playing with the idea of time itself as material.
